The Emberly Broom

There’s something about the soft glow of a dying fire that feels a little magical. Not the bright flames, but that quiet moment when the fire settles into glowing embers...warm, earthy, and still holding a little heat.

That feeling is what inspired the Emberly Broom.

She is a full-length, fully functional sweeper broom, handmade here at Pointers Apothecary & Broom Co. from natural broomcorn and a long, natural wood handle. Her natural broomcorn is wrapped with burnt-orange and silver twine, bringing to mind the colors of a low-burning fire—warm embers glowing against the cool light of ash and moonlight.

A delicate gathering of broomcorn seed runs across the front, keeping her connected to the natural materials she was made from and adding just a little extra wildness to her design.

And Emberly isn't just meant to sit in a corner looking pretty. She is made to work.

Sweep your floors, porch, entryway, hearth, or wherever you need a good old-fashioned broom. When she's finished working, she's pretty enough to hang where you can admire her.

As with all of our brooms, Emberly was made by hand, one at a time. The broomcorn won't be perfectly uniform, the handle will have its own character, and little imperfections may show up along the way. We think those things make a handmade broom better...not less perfect.
